Happy New Year!

You guys are probably wondering where I've been in the last 2.5 months. Well Brandon came to visit me for three weeks in October. We had a great time, went to Goa (I will write more about this in detail) and Brandon got a taste of what it's like to live in Bangalore. After that we both flew back to the US and ever since November I have been back home in Portland, with a side trip to So. Cal, Ohio, and Wisconsin. I have to say that it's been quite a treat to be back home for a while. It was so easy to assume the life that I had here. Every now and then I think about Bangalore and my feelings towards it. It comes in waves...one day I am excited to go back and other days I just want to stay here with Brandon and eat at the $1 plate sushi restaurant that we both enjoy once a week. But who knows what will happen in 2005. It's still a little fuzzy. I am anticipating the second wave of culture shock that I will encounter when I return to Bangalore, which will be in three weeks.
