Happy Birthday!

Yesterday it was India's 57th birthday and today it's my 27th birthday! I would also like to wish Madonna a happy birthday too! I have no plans yet but I am sure I will find something to do to celebrate. Maybe I will treat myself to a 6 hour Ayurvedic spa & massage treatment. Sounds nice, heh?

Hi Cecilia:

Happy Birthday!

Came to you blog after reading ToI article. Teething problems aside, all you have to do is to just hang on a bit, and I am sure you'd really like Bangalore! I myself am not a Bangalorean but been here for last 6 years and I love this place. So much so that I have adopted a Texas bumper sticker for my liking towards Bangalore:" I was not born in Texas, but I came here as soon as I could." :)

Hope you'd find this city as likeable as people like me do!

Many happy returns of the day.
I had read about you in the TOI and read the whole blog y'day. Interesting to see how you are adjusting to your adopted country.
I am an Indian working in Dubai (UAE) and I miss home (Kerala) dearly. Why don't you catch a train to Kerala to get your Ayurvedic Massage? and if you are there in the last week of this month, you can participate in our "Onam" festival.
Regrards, Kishore J Sasi.

Happy Birthday :)

Good to see someone making a success of adjusting to India.

Just hang in there for a while, and I am sure it will work out.

All the Best!

Dear Cecilia,

Wish you a Very Happy Birthday !

Its good to see you tryin' to acclimatize to Bangalore. The so-called Silicon City...

I read about you in the TOI in Mumbai (Bombay) and was pleasantly suprised, subsequently, I read your blogs, and was very happy to learn that you also got a puppy.

What breed is it? Looks like a Pomeranian?

I am like a dog maniac, and 've got a Rottie 11 months old, Balthazaar. He is very cute and amicable as well as amiable, contrary to the widespread notions depicting Rotties as Devil's killer dogs.

Have you ever been to Mumbai? Its one helluva place, too fast, too crowded, dynamic, brimming with opportunities...

Do be in touch. Its the first time I am interacting with a Philippino, I mean at this level, I do interact with Philippines for business purposes.

Take care

Those are some lame-ass comments Pritish. Come on! Grow up. There are 50,000 foreigners working in India now. who cares!
As the world economy turns upside down we'll see India getting richer and the US poorer. More people will come to India for jobs.
Remember the stink they are making in the US about outsourcing. I hope we never make such a stink..let us teach US few things about free market economy and globalization.

Some Anonymous stated about economies turning upside-down, and India getting richer and US getting poorer....

Well your patriotism is appreciated, but its rues me to say that it has morphed all senses and organs, particularly the ones that matter, thereby obscuring the plain, simple facts.

What growth you see of India today, is the MAXIMUM possible. It can not get any better. An unbearable diversity cannot thrive together as one and moreso work together for a common goal.
Today China is easily 50 years ahead, pretty soon, it will a century ahead.

Excessive liberty, secularism, multi-ethnicity, population burst, illiteracy are apparently ailments of this country.

What is almost miraculous, is that it has survived so far in one piece.
