Does anyone here go out to discos?

Can someone from Bangalore, tell me where the fun discos, pubs are? I heard this is a pub city but where are the pub going crowd hanging out? I tried to scout them out on MG Road but either they were super shy or they really didn't go out at all. Or perhaps I was just to straightforward in my questions and shocked that I would ask such questions. I was a little disappointed. I am ready to meet some cool people and show me how the Bangaloreans party! Particularly the trance going crowd! :) I know you are out there!

Good discos in Bangalore:-
1. I-bar
2. F-bar
3. Spinn
4. Club X

There's tons more, but i can't remember them off hand. Most of these play very good techno/trance, mostly European stuff. You won't find hard-core trance/rave though, for which you'll have to either goto Goa's Anjuna beach or get invited to a private party.

Most of the pubs (like Tavern Inn, Styx, Purple Haze, Bunker, Night Watchman!, NASA, Sherlock Holmes!, Guzzler's Inn, Peco's, 13th. Floor) play rock/hard rock/metal and are usually very loud!

There's also a few lounge bars and one of my favourites is the Cosmo Village. These guys usually play lounge/house/fusion.

Hope this helps.

It seems like someone's been trying to party hard! Anyways, I'd just like to add to the list in the above post and make your stay in Bangalore a wee-bit more intriguingly complicated.

Apart from the discz mentioned previously, you also have:

* The Club - Stuated on the outskirts; Getting there might be a problem for you.

* Spinnz & Club X are kinda new, hence the crowd is large at these places. Both these discz have good themes almost every other day.

* I-bar & F-bar are more loungishly discothequish. Woha, new words in my vocabulary :-) Apparently, F-bar is the only Fashion TV bar/disc in the whole of South Asia... Hmmmm!

* You also have sparkz which is again a pub converted into a disc. The music here is mostly hip-hop at night and trance/electronic during the afternoons. A good place to visit on a slow saturday afternoon.

As far as pubs where you can chat up with starngers are concerned, you are better of visiting the ones located in the premises of 5-star hotels like Leela Palace, Windsor Manor, Taj, etc. There is a good one besides the golf course on Airport Rd., but not really sure of the hotel's name. The pub is called Geofferey's, I think (scratch, scratch!).

I'm sure it wouldn't seem like much of a culture shock when you frequent these places... they are very much like the pubs n discs in the U.S.

Happy Pubbing... Hic, Hic!
